Lip Blushing Aftercare Instructions

Congratulations on your stunning new lip blush at El Zorro Tattoo! To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your beautiful tinted lips, it's crucial to follow our aftercare instructions diligently. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the healing process:

Initial Post-Procedure Care:

  1. Hands Off:

    • Avoid touching your lips with unwashed hands to minimize the risk of infection.

  2. Gentle Cleansing:

    • Cleanse the lip area gently with a mild, unscented cleanser using a cotton pad or swab. Do not rub or scrub.

  3. Apply Recommended Ointment:

    • Use the provided or recommended ointment to apply a thin layer over your lips. This aids in preventing infection and keeps your lips moisturized.

First Week After Lip Blushing:

  1. No Water Exposure:

    • Avoid getting your lips wet for the first week. Be cautious during face washing, and stay away from swimming pools.

  2. Mindful Eating and Drinking:

    • Choose soft, non-spicy, and non-salty foods. Avoid hot beverages, and do not use straws during the initial healing period.

  3. Sun Protection:

    • Shield your lips from direct sunlight. If you need to be outdoors, use a lip balm with SPF protection.

  4. No Lip Makeup:

    • Refrain from applying any makeup, including lip products, on the treated area during the first week.

Second Week and Beyond:

  1. Natural Peeling:

    • Your lips may naturally peel during the healing process. Do not pick at the peeling skin to prevent scarring or pigment loss.

  2. Regular Moisturizing:

    • Continue to keep your lips moisturized using the recommended lip balm to promote healing and maintain color vibrancy.

  3. Limited Sun Exposure:

    • Even after the initial healing period, minimize sun exposure to protect your lips and the longevity of the pigment.

Follow-Up Appointment:

Around 6-8 weeks post-procedure, schedule your follow-up appointment. This allows us to evaluate the healing process, address any concerns, and make adjustments if necessary.
